From J&K to Ladakh, the slogan of 'Bharat Mata Ki Jai' echoed, tricolour hoisted everywhere

On the occasion of 75th Independence Day, Independence Day has been celebrated with gaiety everywhere from Jammu and Kashmir to Ladakh. The tricolour has also been hoisted especially in every government building and remote areas of Jammu and Kashmir on this 75th Independence Day. 

LG Manoj Sinha has unveiled the national flag on the occasion of Independence Day on Sunday morning at a 100-foot-high pillar installed on the ramparts of the fort on Mount Hari. In addition, LG Manoj Sinha has participated in the event held at Sher-e-Kashmir Cricket Stadium in Srinagar. In Jammu, Advisor Rajiv Rai Bhatnagar hoisted the flag at the main function. In addition, tricolour has been hoisted at all district headquarters and other places in Jammu and Kashmir. 

This time, DDC presidents have hoisted the national flag in place of DC at 18 district headquarters. On the occasion of 75th Independence Day, Budgam Police organized celebrating the Spirit of Freedom programme. SSP Budgam Tahir Salim Khan flagged off. The programme started from railway station Budgam at around 7 am and ended at District Police Headquarters Budgam covering a distance of about three kilometres. The national flag has also been hoisted at 23,000 schools and hundreds of government buildings in Jammu and Kashmir. All panchayat members have also unfurled the tricolour in their respective constituencies. Moreover, the dal lake area has been specially decorated with flags. The clock tower at Lal Chowk in Srinagar was painted in the colour of the tricolour before Independence Day.
